Gumball 3000 rolls into Rutland Street

Last weekend, some 20 supercars descended on Rutland street to mark the Gumball 3000 rally’s first ever visit to Edinburgh.

Crowds gathered from the early hours as the first cars joined the display- among them a Ferrari F12 and 458 Spider and the star attraction of the day- a Bugatti Veyron worth a cool £1m! The Huxley was delighted to have the opportunity to support the rally by pumping some tunes out onto the street and providing face painting and balloon modelling to keep our littler visitors entertained.

The drivers whiled away the afternoon sipping on their own concoction of vodka, grenadine and tabasco but made sure to pop out once in a while to pose for pictures with their cars and answer the many many questions from the fans. Despite the glorious Scottish weather serving up a deluge mid-afternoon, a fantastic day was had by all and we at The Huxley would like to thank everyone who came down for helping to make the day such a huge success!

Here’s to hoping we can welcome the Gumball team back in the future!
